Project Feature: Rambler Renovation
Fall is in the air, but before summer is a distant memory we want to share a unique, trendy home improvement project we completed recently! We had the opportunity to partner with trusted contractor, Josh, of Wintergreen Homes. Together, we have been working hard on the renovation of a 1980’s walk-out rambler in Eagan. The homeowners decided that they wanted to stay in their home for many years to come. So, instead of finding a new space that would fit their needs, they chose to invest in a remodel that would allow them to stay in their current home while still meeting their new requirements as empty nesters!
With that in mind, they wanted to open up their space, remove the wall dividing their kitchen and living room, and pump up their entertaining area with the installation of a new bar. In working on this project we had the opportunity to utilize a variety of great elements. For example, for their cabinets the homeowners chose the rustic Covington door style, stained in a rustic alder autumn finish. For their floors, the family went with a unique slate option. To help illuminate their choice, we installed under cabinet lighting at floor level. Lastly, they topped their room with one of the latest and greatest Cambria countertop color options – Hollinsbrook. Newly introduced in May of 2012, this great color and pattern palette helped to pull the room together and add personality!
We can’t wait to hear about this family’s continued adventures in their newly renovated home!
