This Apple Valley home, built in the early 90s, relied heavily on oak. Though the layout wasn’t bad, the kitchen needed a contemporary update, but one that didn’t look out-of-place with the rest of the woodwork. The homeowners also hoped to add height and drama to create a more elegant look.
Over the 12 weeks of this remodel, the homeowners did a lot of work on their own, including opening up the entry to add a captivating view of the kitchen as you walked in. They also selected paint, flooring, and accessories that enhanced the beauty of the finished room.
The final product is a beautiful two-toned kitchen with lots of storage and the sophisticated feel the homeowners wanted!
What went into this kitchen?
- Cabinets featuring Showplace cabinetry in soft cream paint
- The kitchen island in black paint
- Cambria countertops in Cantebury
- The addition of a valance over the sink for architectural impact
