Project Feature: Lakeville Basement Remodel

With summer now in full swing, we are excited to be working on a variety of projects.  Most recently, we completed a three-month basement remodel on a Lakeville home.  When we began, the family’s two-story home had a completely unfinished basement.  The homeowners wanted to finish off their entertainment area and complete the space leading from their basement out into the backyard.

We love nothing more than a good entertainment space, and what social area would be complete without a bar?  For this bar – one of the room’s centerpieces – the homeowners chose Showplace cabinetry with Pendleton style doors and a warm trufle finish.  We customized the bar with a built-in wine rack, travertine tile, and a lit mirrored bottle display.  For added convenience we also installed a built-in microwave, Danby beverage center, and separate refrigerator and freezer.  We finished off the area with natural stone countertops and created a space that transitioned nicely into the family’s backyard.

Finally, we created a matching, custom entertainment center and fireplace in the area adjacent to the bar.  It was created with the same style lines and aesthetics as the bar, but finished with a complimentary stone around the fireplace.  All in all, when the project was completed, our homeowners were left with a warm and welcoming entertaining space and a beautiful transition from their home into their backyard!
