2024 Kitchen Design Trends

As we kick off 2024, our designers are already forecasting kitchen trends for the upcoming year. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, whether it’s with our team, clients, or industry partners. Our design team works alongside homeowners to bring their vision to life. But in tandem, they also bring their ideas, knowledge, and experience to the table. Want to learn more about the kitchen trends they’re predicting for 2024? Scroll to read what they had to share!

Beverage centers

From morning coffee to after-school snacks to evening happy hour, beverage centers are a kitchen MVP. Whether you’re grabbing drinks on the way out the door or hosting family and friends, a beverage center keeps things organized and at the ready!

Expansive Storage

The backbone of a well-crafted kitchen is storage – it holds it all together. One of the best strategies to stay organized is having a place for everything: drawers for cooking tools and dishware, racks for bakeware, pantry pull-outs, garbage and recycling centers, hidden small appliance cabinets, etc. Any storage problem you have can be solved with smart design! Low-Maintenance Materials

A significant trend in current kitchen design is low-maintenance materials. We’re all busier than ever, and no one wants to spend their precious free time cleaning. More and more of our clients are choosing products and finishes that stand the test of time and require less upkeep, which we’re all for!

Cambria Quartz Full-Height Backsplash

Another rising kitchen trend is slab backsplashes, like full-height options from our friends at Cambria Quartz. In contrast to tile, slab backsplashes are easier to clean, requiring only soap and water. Slab backsplashes make an incredible design impression – they’re striking, bold, and dramatic. Mixing Stained and Painted Cabinetry

Stained cabinets are making a major comeback right now. Two-tone kitchens offer endless design combinations while injecting spaces with color and contrast. Additionally, stained cabinets are often less expensive than paint; many of our clients are replacing paint with warm, natural wood tones. (Photo credit below: Showplace Cabinetry)

Hidden Appliances

If you feel at peace in a clutter-free space, then the hidden appliances design trend is for you! From lower cabinet microwaves to pantries and appliance garages, hidden appliance storage frees up counter space, disguises ugly cords, and keeps everything you need together.

Prep Kitchens

A modern take on traditional butler’s pantries, prep kitchens are a popular high-end kitchen finish. We like these spaces for easy cooking preparation, food pantry storage, keeping messes out of sight, and organized hosting essentials all in one place! (Photo credit below: Showplace Cabinetry)

Moody Spaces

Our clients are taking bigger design swings than ever these days, and we love it! Bold blacks, striking finishes, and splashy colors are popping up everywhere, from kitchens to bathrooms to lower level bars. If your design motto is go big or go home, embrace it!
